ABOUT
Wayne Miller is the author of six poetry collections, most recently The End of Childhood (Milkweed, 2025) and We the Jury (2021). His awards include fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation, as well as the UNT Rilke Prize; two Colorado Book Awards; two Pushcart Prizes; the George Bogin, Lucille Medwick, and Lyric Poetry Awards from the Poetry Society of America; the Bess Hokin Prize from Poetry; and a Fulbright Scholarship to the Seamus Heaney Centre in Northern Ireland. He has co-translated two books by Moikom Zeqo, most recently Zodiac (Zephyr, 2015), and he has co-edited three books, most recently Literary Publishing in the Twenty-First Century (Milkweed, 2016), which will be re-released in a revised and expanded second edition in 2027. His work has been translated into Albanian, Bosnian, Dutch, and Spanish, and a selection of his poems titled Koniec Dzieciństwa i Inne Wiersze (The End of Childhood and Other Poems), translated by Piotr Florczyk, was published by Instytut Mikołowski in Poland in 2025. Wayne lives with his family in Denver, where he co-directs the Unsung Masters Series, teaches at the University of Colorado Denver, and edits the literary journal Copper Nickel.
